Directions
- Get a large bowl: place in it the chickpeas and cover them water. Let them sit for an
overnight. - Get a small mixing bowl: whisk in it the salt, ginger, pepper, garlic, oil, & lemon juice. Use a
metal skewer to poke the chicken several times to make holes in it. - Brush the chicken with some of the spice mix. Place it in a casserole dish and pour the
remaining lemon mix on top. - Cover the chicken casserole with a plastic wrap and place it aside for 2 h 15 min.
- Pour the chickpeas in a colander and discard the water. Transfer the chickpeas with 1/2
tsp of salt into a large saucepan. - Cover it with water then put on the lid. Let it cook for 47 min until it becomes soft over
low medium heat. - Once again, discard the cooking water and rinse the chickpeas with some fresh water then
