If you like to use your camera’s picture
style options to apply different looks in-
camera, you may find in Lightroom or Camera
Raw that the styles are absent. However, you
always have the option to apply them in the
Profile Browser under the Camera Matching
set, where you’ll find a list of styles that
matches those found in your camera menu.
So you can apply or edit picture styles in your
raws after the fact – unlike with JPEGs, where
the chosen picture style is set in stone.

If you like to shoot for monochrome
images, it can be helpful to review
your photos in black and white on your
camera’s screen after taking the shot,
preview them in black and white while in
Live View, or see them sans color on your
electronic viewfinder. As such, you can set a
black-and-white picture style for in-camera
monochrome, but by shooting in raw format,
you still have the option to go back to the color
version of the image later on if you need to.
