EVER SAT PLAYING with your
baby and felt a strong sense of
connection with her? Well it turns
out you may be onto something!
Researchers from Princeton
University examined how adult
and baby’s brains interacted

during play, and discovered that
both brain activities rose and fell
together as they shared toys and
eye contact. However, when the
adult and child turned away from
each other or engaged with other
people, the connection was lost.
