Georgie: Happiness. It concerns
me that young girls are having to
grow up now in a world that is so
untrue. They are having to navigate
the world of social media, so full
of retouching apps and ideals of
perfection. It is hard enough
growing up without these additional
pressures they are now faced with.
It concerns me greatly that this
pressure to be perfect increases the
chances of young people suffering
from mental illness. It also concerns
me that these pressures can rob us
all of living a full life. The fact that
we don’t do things because we feel
inadequate, takes away from so much
happiness there is to be had in life.
What have you learned
about the female body
and diversity through
your work?
Julie: I think what I have learned is
that there is no such thing as perfect.
Every body is perfectly imperfect.
Everybody has their own insecurities
and it is all relevant to them. The
