fabricated a fl oating one using (surprise!) a
chunky wood remnant and L brackets. She
also hung the sconce above the petite perch.
20 The window valance is a strip of wood
Jodi upcycled from a dilapidated fence.
21 Jodi took lighting by the horns, so to
speak, and looped a corded plug-in light
around an antelope taxidermy (gifted to them
by a neighbor) for a one-of-a-kind fi xture.
22 The bed for the master bedroom was
made by a local craftsperson. Savvy Jodi,
who works as a photographer, traded it
for a photo session. 23 A corner became
a hardworking offi ce space with the
addition of two sheets of plywood that
Jodi used to make a fl oating desk.
