With right sides facing, pin your front and back panels
together and sew together with a 1cm (½in) seam
allowance, leaving the top edge open. Turn through and press.
2
Fold a 1cm (¼in) hem along the top edge of the stitched
piece and sew in place. Repeat this process for your
backing fabric panel so that it matches the stitched piece.
1
Cut out your stitching to 16x11cm (6¼x4¼in) with the
stitched design positioned 3.5cm (1½in) from the bottom
edge. Cut out a matching panel of backing fabric.
3
Cut two lengths of crochet lace ribbon to 11cm (4¼in)
and place them on the right side of each panel, along the
hemmed edges. Sew in place using coordinating thread.

Finally, use a length of narrow ribbon to tightly tie a bow
around the waist of the bag to hold the filling inside. Or,
leave the filling out and use it as a small gift bag if preferred!
5
Mix your dried lavender with some toy stuffing and add
both to the bag, filling it three-quarters full. Alternatively,
you can use just lavender by itself for a more intense aroma.
