It depends on whether this only
happens on your iPhone, or those
who receive your messages see
the same problem with your replies. It’s
important to find out which.
If it’s just your iPhone that’s affected,
then it’s most probably because you once
opted to use enlarged text for reading, which
can upset spacing in this way. Sometimes this
happens without users even being aware of
it. Check in Settings, looking in two places:
Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger
Text, and in Display & Brightness > Text Size.
Returning those controls to normal should
fix this if it’s just a local problem.If it affects recipients of your messages
as well, the problem is most likely in your
signature. Originally, email signatures were
intended to be just a few short lines in plain
text, but it’s easy in Mail to end up with several
paragraphs with links and more. Blank lines
also cause strange effects.
The best way to tackle this is to change
your signature to something much shorter and
simpler, with a maximum of five lines, none
of them blank. If that resolves the problem,
