Narrative: This dispute between Prussia and the Kingdom of Saxon occurred during
the Second Schleswig War between Denmark and the combined forces of Prussia and
Austria-Hungary. Saxon troops in Holstein became a problem for Bismarck, and, on
November 19, he warned Friedrich Ferdinand, Count von Beust (the minister presi-
dent of Saxony), that Saxony would be a “second Rendsburg,” which referenced the
