VOLUNTEER PROGRAM

European University Sports Association (EUSA), in cooperation with its

Student Commission and the Organising Committees of the European

Universities Games (EUG) and European Universities Championships

(EUC), is offering students from Europe, a unique opportunity to actively

participate in the organisation of EUSA events as volunteers.

Throughout EUSA sport
events in 2023, international
volunteers were present across
all European Universities
Championships, assisting the
local organising teams and the
local volunteers.

The main aim of the volunteer
program is to give chances to
students, who are interested in
sports and in organising sport
events, to get the opportunity
of experiencing a unique
adventure, through which they
will learn the values of sport,
gain valuable work experience,
express their creativity, and
enjoy everything that the

Championships as a diverse hub

of cultures and people, can offer.

The Volunteer Programme

includes working for the

organising committee,

supporting them in cooperation

fields, such as coordination,

managing information desks,

communication between

Organising Committee, referees,

guests, as well as helping

the athletes and the officials

accompanying them throughout

the whole experience. All these

positions available for the

volunteers and the experiences

they get from representing

them, are building up the

volunteers’ competencies and

skills in organising sport events

at a European level.

In the frame of the Volunteer

Program, full board is provided

during the time of the event,

with transportation from the

official airport/station covered;

volunteers just must ensure

their travel costs to the event.

Moreover, after the event

finishes, a certificate will be

provided for each volunteer,

indicating their working position

and hours, representing their

success and an additional value

to their already rich experience.

During the European Universities

Championships season in 2023,

volunteers had the opportunity

to experience different cultures,

cities, sports, multicultural

gatherings, gain new skills and

enjoy the great atmosphere that

EUSA events bring.

In 2024, volunteering

opportunities will be available

for the European Universities

Games in Debrecen-Miskolc, and

have the chance to add a great

sporting, cultural, volunteering

and fun experience on your life

list.
