EUSA Year Magazine 2023-2024

In total 81 participants
from coming 16 countries,
representing 33 universities,
took part in the first edition
of the European Universities
Winter Championship, organized
by by CUS Venezia with the
contribution of Prvince of
Belluno and Municipality of Val
di Zoldo.

Each race and match, brought
its own share of excitement,
surprises, moments of
brilliance, and many exciting and
adrenaline rushes.

In the slalom women’s
competition, the first place on
the podium was won by Maja
Chyla of Jagiellonian University

(POL) with a time of 1:30.21,

followed by Julia Zlatkova from

Technical University Sofia (BUL)

with the silver medal and Anna

Rech of University of Udine (ITA)

with the bronze medal.

In the slalom men’s competition

Kamen Zlatkov from Technical

University Sofia (BUL) won the

1 st place with 1:22.92, Gleb

Mosesov from Armenian State

University of Economics (ARM)

took the second place, with Jan

Sanitrar of Technical University

in Zvolen (SVK) completing the

podium and taking home the

bronze medal.

In the giant slalom women’s

competition Anna Rech of

University of Udine (ITA) won

the gold medal with a time

of 2:28.65. After winning the

slalom competition, Maja Chyla

from Jagiellonian University

(POL) took the second place of

giant slalom, then Constance

Lay of University of Grenobles

Alpes (FRA) completed the

podium.

In the giant slalom men’s

competition Arne Ackermann

of University of Bern (SUI) took

the first place with a time at

2:21.46, Thomas Dalla Libera

from University of Verona (ITA)

followed with 39 seconds

later, then Simon Nantschev of

University of Munich (GER) took

the third place.

The skiing competition finished

with the team competition. For

the women’s team it’s University

of Grenoble Alpes (FRA) who

won, Technical University of

Sofia (BUL) took the second

place, followed by University

of Ljubljana (SLO). In the men’s

competition, University of Bern

(SUI) won the 1st place, followed

by University of Grenobles Alpes

(FRA) on the 2nd position and

Armenian State University of

Economics (ARM) on the 3rd

place.
