The snowboarding competition
was filled with overwhelming
amount of adrenaline and
excitement, while student-
athletes were sliding the boards
through the white shiny snow,
having fun and being excited
about competing and possibly
winning a medal.

An overall figure of 24 student
athletes from 6 countries,
representing 11 different
universities took participation in
the races.

The final ranking in the Parallel
Giant Slalom men competition,
pictured Tervel Zamfirov from
the University of Forestry (BUL)
on the first step of the podium,
followed by Kristian Georgiev of
National Sports Academy Vasil
Levski (BUL) on the second place
and Alexander Krashniak of
Technical University Sofia (BUL)
on third place.

In the women’s Parallel Giant
slalom competition, Natalie
Schoemann University of
Bamberg (GER) preceded Isabel
Chiara Murer of the University
of Udine (ITA). The small final
for third place was won by the
Irem Gezer from Istanbul Medipol
University (TUR).

In the men’s Giant Slalom

competition, the top three

podium positions replicated the

same ranking as in the parallel

slalom: Tervel Zamfirov of the

University of Forest Sciences

(BUL) doubled the result by

placing first in both runs. Kristian

Georgiev of the Vasil Levski

National Sports Academy

(BUL) took second place, just a

few seconds behind, ahead of

Alexander Krashniak of Sofia

University (BUL) who took the

bronze medal.

The women’s Giant Slalom

competition, brought the first

three medallists of the intense

races, having: Isabel Chiara

Murer representing University

of Udine (ITA) holding the gold

medal, Irem Gezer from Istanbul

Medipol University (TUR) with

the silver medal and Julia

Oleksiuk took the bronze medal

for University of Warsaw (POL).
