Following the successful EUSA General Assembly, an entertaining


annual EUSA Awards Ceremony was held on Saturday, October


14 th, with a beautiful, picturesque view of the Aeagen Sea.


The event was held to
acknowledge and celebrate the
achievements and contributions
of individuals, universities and
associations whose recent
impact on European University
Sport deserves recognition
and praise. The evening was
accompanied by two cultural
activities to introduce the
Aegean region.


The first part of the evening
awarded the universities that
demonstrated excellence
in the field of university
sports, across the areas
of sporting performance,
sport development, lifelong
dedication, fair play, inclusion.


The first award for the Most
Active National University
Sports Association (NUSA)
was received by the University
Sports Association of Poland
(AZS). The award was received
on behalf of AZS by its Vice-
President Marian Dymalski.

University Sports Association of
Poland (AZS) was also honored
with the Most Successful
NUSA Award. The award was
received by Tatsiana Andrushka,
representing AZS on this
occasion.

Determined by the sports
achievements and results
from the European Universities

Games and Championships in
2022, the Best University award
was received by the University
of Zagreb from Criatia. On
behalf of the University, the
award was received by Jurica
Pavicic, Vice-Rector of the
University of Zagreb.

Similarly, the Most Active
University Award was received
by the University of Zagreb as
well, having 197 participants
at the EUSA sports events last
year. Jasenka Ostojic, Vice-
Rector of the University received
the award.

The ceremony continued with
the Medals of Appreciation

Awards. The first was presented
to the University Sports
Association of Poland (AZS) for
its successful organization and
management of the European
Universities Games Lodz 2022.
The award was received by Piotr
Marszal, AZS representative.

The next Medal of Appreciation
was awarded to Turkish
University Sports Federation
(TUSF), received by the TUSF
President on behalf of the
Federation, for successful
organisation of European and
International university sports
events in 2022.
