here, it’s his 10th. It’s something we

The 2024 Galesburg Day celebra-
tion wasn’t just the parade, however.

On Friday, June 14, the Galesburg
Library hosted a movie in the park
and on Saturday, parade day, visitors
also had access to the park behind
Galesburg City Hall for more ven-
dors, food trucks and kid friendly
activities.
This celebration was made possible
by not only Linda Carlton, along
with her 37 member council, and Art
Green, but the many volunteers and
city and county employees.
“This isn’t possible without all of
the input and help from our commu-
nity members. We love our commu-
nity and we’re just happy to do this,”
Carlton concluded.The Community Music School in
Battle Creek is welcoming Bobby
Laughlin as a new member of the
faculty.
Laughlin will teaching DJing and
crafting new digital music through
basic music production, song editing,
remixing and developing electronic
press kits. Bobby Laughlin
Laughlin emphasizes the impor-
tance of gaining experience in DJ
technology, particularly Rekordbox,
to efficiently manage music sets
and enhance live performances with
lighting and technical mixes, said
Susan Balbaugh, executive director
of The Music Center, parent orga-
nization of the Community MusicCommunity Music School welcomes new teacher
