Please take notice that the Charter Township of Emmett Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a
meeting on August 27, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. in the Charter Township of Emmett board meeting
room located at 621 Cliff St., Battle Creek, MI 49014 that will include the following:
• Request for variance at 26 W. Alden Avenue (10-700-007-00) to reduce side yard
setback to allow construction of a carport. Zoning Ordinance Appendix A, Section
6.02 (b), Section 13.04 (e) 2.
Written comments will be received concerning the above matter by the Charter Township
of Emmett Clerk at 621 Cliff Street, Battle Creek, MI 49014 by mail or at any time during
regular business hours on regular business days until and including the day of the meeting
and may further be submitted to the Zoning Board of Appeals at the meeting.
All interested people are invited to be present at the time and place. The Charter Township
of Emmett will provide necessary reasonable auxiliary aids and services at the meeting to in-
dividuals with disabilities, such as signers for the hearing impaired and audiotapes of printed
materials being considered, upon three day’s advanced notice to the Township. Individuals
