The Michigan High School
Athletics Association’s Fall 2024
campaign for local and state-wide
affiliated schools got underway this
past Monday (Aug. 12) with first
practices being allowed, and regular-
season events in some sports will
begin this Friday and Saturday.
Among this Saturday’s events is
the annual Harper Creek Optimist
Cross Country Invitational at Harper
Creek High, which will start its first
races of the day at 8:30 a.m.
Then, more local varsity prep
sports will continue next week – cul-
minating on Friday and Saturday,
Aug. 23-24, with three big events:
The annual All-City Boys’ Soccer
Tournament starting at 4 p.m. on
Aug. 23 at Lakeview High; and
then the 29th annual Carrie Adams
Memorial Volleyball Tournament
hosted by St. Philip starting at 8:30
a.m. on Aug. 24 that will take placePrep sports’ Fall 2024
season underway
