PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The City of Battle Creek will accept sealed bids for the Grinding and Removal of
Wood Debris in Brice Pit Project. This project consists of, but is not limited to grinding services of woody
debris, logs, and brush at Brice Pit, our compost facility located at 715 W River Road. The scope of work
shall include all mobilization, labor, transportation, disposal, and site clean-up associated with grinding/
chipping and removal of this debris. The woody debris may include but is not limited to brush, branches,
limbs (all with and without leaves), along with partial tree trunks. The debris may vary in condition from
green to dead, from a variety of species. The area to be removed is ±30,750 Cyd.

FUNDING: This project has NO federal or state
funding. All project funding is provided by the
City of Battle Creek. None of the CDBG require-
ments are applicable for this contract.
PREVAILING WAGES: Required for this
project. See attached wage rates at the end of
this document. Contractor shall abide by all
the requirements set forth in Section 208.09,
PREVAILING WAGES ON CITY PROJECTS, of
the City’s Administrative Code.

performance last Saturday in LHS’s
annual season-opening Spartan
Relays event.
Lakeview finished in fourth place
in the 10-school meet with 281
points.
First through fourth were state
powers Kalamazoo Loy Norrix in
first with 412 points, Grand Rapids
Forest Hills Central in second with
368 and Midland Dow in third with
354.
Also, St. Joseph was fifth with 276
points, Sturgis was sixth with 238,
Bridgman was seventh with 228,
Portage Central was eighth with 219,
Marshall was ninth with 140 and
Battle Creek Central was 10th with

dedicated Teamster, and a man with many, many tools, lots
of quality equipment, excellent Harley-Davidson, Ski-Doo &
Polaris apparel, and helmets (some used, some new), a radar
gun (great story behind that) and a few collectible items (think
canister race cars, trucks and Kellogg’s).
We have so many items to sell (two garages & a shed worth),
it’s impossible to list them all, but you can request a listing of

The sale also includes Bob’s 2017 Harley-Davidson Tri-Glide. This
is a pristine trike- chromed out with less than 3,800 miles. Asking
price is $34,900.00 and includes a Harley motorcycle cover and
additional Harley gear).
