Under a blistering hot sun, the
St. Philip Tigers celebrated 2024
homecoming Saturday on the turf at
C.W. Post Stadium by taking on the
Bellevue Broncos and crowning its
homecoming royalty.
Crowned at halftime were home-
coming queen Clare Lussier and king
Jerome Bastian.
Court members included Jennitzy
Talevera, Camille Rojas, Nate
Rapelje and Colt Myers.
The event featured a tailgate party
prior to the game, an appearance by
the Tiger mascot and by the elemen-
tary school cheer squad.
The Tigers dropped the game to
Bellevue 62-18.
Quarterback Colt Myers led the
team in yard rushing, followed by
Brogan Lightfoot.
Myers also led with yard passing at
216 and scoring three touchdowns.
Top receivers were Carter Dzwik,
Brogan Lightfoot, Jackson Dzwik and
Brady Lightfoot.
Kick returns were logged by
Brogan Lightfoot, Myers and Carter
Dzwik while charting
tackles were Myers,
Brogan Lightfoot, Carter
Dzwik, Noel Gaona,
Brady Lightfoot, Jakson
Dzwik, Sawyer Weiss,
Amir Ramirez and Ben
Nelson.
Kick returns were cred-
ited to Brogan Lightfoot,
Colt Myers and Carter
Dzwik.
St. Philip Catholic Central celebrates
homecoming, crowns queen and king
St. Philip Catholic Central’s 2024
queen is Clare Lussier and king is
Jerome Bastian. They were crowned
at halftime of the Tigers’ homecoming
game Saturday against Bellevue.
