Yonker said she is looking forward
to the next phase of her new role
with the company and the friendships
she will make along the way.

Silverman is a long-time resident
of Barry County. He graduated with
honors from Kellogg Community
College with a degree in business
management with a focus on market-
ing. He began in newspaper sales
in September 2007, after a long
career in the automotive sales world.
Along with his role in the commu-
nity newspaper business, Silverman
is active in the community serving
as the director for the Nashville
Route 66 Business District and as
a board member for the Sons of the
American Legion, Squadron 45 and
American Legion Riders, Post 45 in
Hastings.
“I look forward to being more
involved in the communities we
serve in within Barry, Calhoun and
Kent counties,” said Silverman. “I
enjoy meeting new people and tak-
ing on new challenges. I want to be
a part of building on the legacies
of our local community papers to
ensure we continue to produce the
quality newspapers that our readers
and advertisers have enjoyed for so
many years.”

in Naples, Italy for three years and
then Virginia Beach, Hendler moved
to Michigan in 2005. After a stint
in radio advertising sales, he joined
the Marshall Ad-Visor &
John Hendler
