005 Cycle Touring Eastern Europe - Part 1 - Hungary & Romania

(Leana) #1

Esztergom – Gyõr – 95 kilometres
The route from Esztergom to Gyor offered breath-taking views as it
followed the meandering Danube River through numerous
settlements. In these quaint villages, we used hand pumps to fill our
water bottles from wells. The ride took us past vast fields of
sunflowers, their golden hues creating a striking contrast against the
endless blue sky.

Gyõr and surrounds – 80 kilometres

The campsite in Gyor was comfortable, so we stayed two days to
explore the countryside. Cycling past tiny hamlets, farmlands, and
vast fields of sunflowers was heaps of fun.
