Papa – Balatonfüred – 64 kilometres
By morning, Eddie and I left the lovely town of Papa to cycle the final
stretch towards the lake. The day was another scorching one and
surprisingly hilly. I had no idea the mercury could rise to such levels
in Hungary. Balatonfured, the oldest town on the shores of Lake
Balaton, awaited us at the end of the journey. Renowned for its spas,
it is a charming destination, but this was no time to indulge in such
luxuries.
