Badacsony – Fonyód – 56 kilometres
Packing up was leisurely, as there was no rush to head anywhere.
However, the heat remained debilitating. It took nearly the entire day
to cycle the short distance to the resort town of Fonyód. The road
followed the shores of the lake, but the oppressive heat made it
necessary to stop numerous times for swims and cold beer.
Eventually, we reached Fonyód, where we set up camp by the lake.
Once the tents were pitched, we sampled the town’s well-known
mineral water (bottled locally) before indulging in their renowned
wine.
