In 984, the Uighurs of Turfan^15 offered gifts to the Sung court (Sung
shih 490:13b; Wen-hsien t’ung-k’ao 347:30b).
In the intercalary month (June/July) of 988, Arslan Uighurs were
received at the Liao court (Liao shih 70:8a).
On Mar.12, 989, envoys of the the Arslan Uighurs to the Liao court
offered gifts (Liao shih 12:5a).^16
In the 6th month (June/July) of 990, envoys of the the Arslan
Uighurs to the Liao court offered gifts (Liao shih 13:1b).
On Nov.10, 991, the Arslan Uighurs offered gifts to the Liao court
(Liao shih 13:3a).
On Nov.27, 995, envoys of the the Arslan Uighurs to the Liao court
offered gifts (Liao shih 13:6b).
In the 11th month (Dec./Jan., 997) of the Liao year 996, [the king]
of the Arslan Uighurs sought a marriage for his son with the imperial
house of Liao. Emperor Sheng-tsung rejected it (Liao shih 13:7b).
In 1004, envoys from Turfan to the Sung court offered fine jade,
fine horses, and other regional objects (Sung shih 490:12b; Sung hui-yao
kao, chüan 6291; Wen-hsien t’ung-k’ao 336:38b).
On May 19, 1005, envoys of the Arslan Uighurs to the Liao court
offered gifts. In the 7th month (Aug./Sep.) of that year, envoys of the
Arslan Uighurs requested the return of envoys who previously had
been detained by Liao. All were sent back (Liao shih 14:6b; 70:11b).
On Dec.11, 1045, envoys of the the Arslan Uighurs to the Liao
court offered gifts (Liao shih 19:7a).
On Apr.17, 1049, envoys from Turfan to the Liao court offered
gifts (Liao shih 20:3a).
On Dec.16, 1052, envoys of the the Arslan Uighurs presented
Emperor Hsing-tsung of Liao with fine horses and leopards (Liao shih
20:7a; 70:19b).
On Feb.26, 1053, the Arslan Uighurs informed the Liao court that
they were attacked by a neighbouring country and requested help
(Liao shih 20:7b).
On May 20, 1068, envoys of the Arslan Uighurs to the Liao court
offered gifts (Liao shih 22:5b).
On June 29, 1112, the Uighurs of Turfan^17 offered gifts to the Liao
court (Liao shih 27:6b).
