In the 5th month (June/July) of 671, envoys from Kapiáa offered
regional objects (Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5026).
In the 9th month (Oct./Nov.) of 692, envoys from Kapiáa offered
gifts (Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5026).
Between 705 and 707, Emperor Chung-tsung confirmed the new
king of Kapiáa as Military Governor of the imaginary Hsiu-hsien Area
Command (Wen-hsien t’ung-k’ao 337:45a).
In the 10th month (Oct./Nov.) of 710, envoys from Kapiáa offered
regional objects (Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5026).
In the 2nd month (Feb./Mar.) of 719, envoys from Kapiáa presented
a text on astronomy/astrology, and foreign drugs, and other objects.
Emperor Hsüan-tsung conferred a title on the king. In the 9th month
(Oct./Nov.) of the same year, Kapiáa presented fine horses (Chiu T’ang
shu 198:13b; Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5027).^30
In 739, the king of Kapiáa informed Hsüan-tsung that he had
abdicated because of old age and had been succeeded by his son.
The emperor sent envoys to recognize the new king (Chiu T’ang shu
198:13b;Wen-hsien t’ung-k’ao 337:45a).
In 745, a new king of Kapiáa was by Emperor Hsüan-tsung appointed
General of the Resolute Guards of the Left^31 and recognized as king
(Chiu T’ang shu 198:13b; Wen-hsien t’ung-k’ao 337:45a).
In the 3rd month (Apr./May) of 745, envoys from Kapiáa presented
Persian brocades and dance mats (Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5030).
In the intercalary month (Nov./Dec.) of 746, envoys from Kapiáa
offered gifts (Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5030).
In the 6th month (July) of 748, envoys from Kapiáa offered gifts
(Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5030).
In 758, envoys from Kapiáa offered gifts (Chiu T’ang shu 198:13b;
Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5031; Wen-hsien t’ung-k’ao 337:45a).
Hsieh-yi.
The Empress Wu changed the name of this state from Ho-ta-lo-chih
to Hsieh-yi. It seems to have been situated southwest of Kapiáa.
In the 10th month (Oct./Nov.) of 710, envoys from Hsieh-yi to the
