On Oct.29, 933, a goodwill mission from Later T’ang was received
at the Khitan court (Liao shih 3:7a).
On Nov.6, 933, T’ai-tsung sent an envoy to the Later T’ang court
(Liao shih 3:7a).
On Dec.18, 933, the Khitan Grand Empress Dowager (mother of
T’ai-tsu) died.^22 T’ai-tsung sent envoys to announce her death to the
Later T’ang court (Liao shih 3:7a).
On Jan.21, 934, a Khitan mission led by a Military Governor
offered the Later T’ang court 400 horses, 10 racehorses, and 2000
sheep (Chiu Wu-tai shih 45:2b; Ts’e-fu yüan-kuei p.5035). They probably
had not been aware, when they left their homeland, that Emperor
Ming-tsung was already dead.
On Mar.5, 934, envoys from Emperor Min of Later T’ang officially
informed the Khitan court that his father Ming-tsung had died on
