as well hosted Jennifer, for a
shorter version of ESC journey.
In the recap of their journey
with EUSA, this is what they
expressed:
“My expectations were met and
often exceeded! The welcoming
atmosphere and support of the
EUSA Family, different activities,
and the chance to travel and
meet people from various
backgrounds made this time
interesting and fulfilling. From
daily office work to volunteering
at major sports events, the
experience was varied and
rewarding. Big appreciation goes
also to all the volunteers who I
met in the EUSA office during my
volunteering period – sharing this
time with them was just great! “–
expressed Marta.
“I discovered an amazing world
which is the one of University
Sports, which showed me a lot of
energy, passion, and inclusivity.
It was amazing to be part of such
a big event as the European
Universities Games 2024, and
it was impressive to see how
everyone, from volunteers to
the organisers, the assistants,
the technical delegates, the
representatives, gave all the
commitment and the resources
possible to make this event
possible. I will always remember
this experience and I hope I can
have the chance to be part of the
EUSA Family again soon.“– said
Emanuele.
“I am very grateful for this year
with EUSA and for the other
volunteers who shared this
journey with me. The intercultural
exchange and the moments
we spent together were truly
invaluable. I am returning to
France with a wealth of new
knowledge gained through this
experience, which was different
from, but no less valuable than,
my university education. EUSA is
made up of many diverse people,
and this experience taught me
that human interaction is one of
the best ways to learn. Thank
you for that!“– shared Heloise.
“The ESC experience allowed
me to strengthen my ability
to support myself in new
environments, build close
relationships and to experience
the inner workings of an NGO
in the world of Sport. Amongst
all the traveling and events,
some of the most memorable
and fulfilling moments simply
have come from the day-to-day
tasks in the EUSA office working
with the other volunteers. From
different countries, cultures and
backgrounds, we shared the
same open mindset and sense
of adventure. Without them, my
ESC experience would not have
been as rich with laughter and
memories.”– expressed Jennifer.
Two months later, in the middle
of October, EUSA welcomed 3
new European Solidarity Corps
volunteers, Milia Molinie from
France, Markus Schneider from
Germany and Jan Hussu from
Italy.
These three young individuals
will learn, assist and experience
the daily EUSA activities in the
EUSA Office and especially work
and learn from the process of
preparing and executing activities
at the European Universities
Championship season of 2025.
Trying to recap the already spent
few months with EUSA Office,
here is what they’ve said:
“Throughout this experience, I
am willing to stay curious and
ready to rise to any challenge
that EUSA might offer. I feel like
I am unifying two main sides of
my personality, which are my
genuine passion for sports that
I used to keep at the personal
level before that, and my interest
in cooperation, languages and
international relations. Above all,
I am very happy to help rising
voices about inclusion and
diversity in sports. It is a crucial
topic for the youth, the future
of sports, and I am glad that
EUSA offers me the space and
opportunity to address it. I am
convinced that it helps shape my
career as well as myself as an
individual.” – said Milia.
“My months in Ljubljana and at
EUSA have been transformative,
teaching me valuable lessons,
particularly about independence.
Not only have I started to
achieve the personal growth
I hoped for, but I have also
encountered unexpected
challenges that have prompted
deeper introspection. One of the
most rewarding surprises has
been the overwhelming interest
and understanding shown by
people within the ESC group and
at EUSA. Their openness and
support have greatly enriched
my experience. “– expressed
Markus.
“Joining EUSA has been one
of the most transformative
experiences of my life. I was
seeking an opportunity to deepen
my understanding of sports while
elevating my communication and
project management skills, and
EUSA met all my expectations.
What impressed me immediately
was the vibrant multicultural
environment, with colleagues
from diverse countries and
linguistic backgrounds. This
diversity made me feel right
at home and part of a truly
international community.
Looking back on this incredible
journey, I feel deeply grateful to
be part of EUSA as a volunteer.
The international atmosphere of
the office continuously inspires
me to be proactive, innovative,
and bold in proposing ideas that
contribute to EUSA’s growth.”
