Valentino unveiled its i rst-ever Candystud Factory pop-up

store in Beijing and welcomed guests into the world of the

Candystud bag, which i rst appeared on the brand’s spring/

summer 2018 runway. A cotton candy pink exterior gave way

to an equally pink, plush interior decked up as a delightful

retro-chic factory: A covetable array of bags were displayed on

turntables on a make-believe conveyor belt, while sneakers

were displayed in clear bubble cases. Velvet sofas were also

found throughout the venue—just so guests could immerse

themselves in the savoir-faire of Maison Valentino in lavish

comfort. Guests such as Valentino China’s brand ambassador,

Lay Zhang, and Chinese actress, Yang Mi, graced the opening

cocktail reception, which added to everyone’s high spirits

through the night. Two limited edition Candystud bags and

sneakers were also launched exclusively for the occasion.
