1. Describe and correct the error.

= 6^15 ÷^3 = 6^5

Solution:

Even though the expressions are being divided, the

exponents should not be divided.

The exponents should be subtracted.

The correct solution should be: 6 15 −3= 6^12

2. Simplify.

Solution:

푥푥^8 · 푥푥= 푥푥^9
