outfourseparatetestsoneverypairofjeans,
eachstartingofffromrest,acceleratingto
30mphandthen,brakingtorestagain.Wecarriedoutmultipletestsbecausewe
wantedtoseehowthejeanswouldprotect
theskinintheeventofa higher-speedora
longer-distanceslide.Studyingeachpairafter
fourrunsshouldgivea reasonableideaofthis.Wedidn’ttestthekneeareaaswefeltthat
thetestingprocedurewouldnotbeconsistent
enoughandthatthearmourwouldoffer
