14.  Gently lift the tinder bundle.


15. Blow into the tinder pile from 
    underneath (as if you are pray­
    ing to the fire gods), so you don’t 
    burn your hands. If you’re lucky, 
    the tinder will ignite into flame. 


16. But remember: it’s only a flame! 
    You don’t have a full­fledged 
    fire yet. Carefully transfer the 
    flame to your stage 2 tinder.
