while they werechecking on other orangutans.

Wonder Crystalwaswritten by 90-year-old Sri Lankan author
and illustrator SybilWettasinghe. She asked pupils to provide
different endings and said shereceived around 20,000 ideas.
She decided to use 1,250 of them. The projectwasset up to
encourage young people toexpress their creativity.

On5March, atameeting in Russia’scapital
Moscow,Russia andTurkey agreed to pause
fighting in north-west Syria to help people living
there. One million Syrian people have fled the
fighting and have headed to theTurkish border.
They have nowheretostay or food toeat. The
Syrianwarstarted nine years ago between
Syria’smilitaryforces, supported by Russia, and
rebel fighters, some of whomTurkey supports.

On5March, the pyramid of Djoser in Egyptreopened.
The pyramid, which is the first ever built in Egypt, had
been closed for 14 years forrepairs. The workcost around
£5 million. The Egyptian prime minister,MostafaMadbouly,
wasatthereopeningceremony andsaid, “Weare working
hardtobuildanew Egypt... and therestoration of our
heritage is at the top of our priorities.”The pyramidwasbuilt
around 4,700 years ago by King Djoser.

Thereare no currentcases of the Ebola
disease in the Democratic Republic
of Congo for the first time sincethe
outbreakwas declared in August 2018.
Semida Masikawas the last patient
being treated for the Ebola virus. She
left hospital in Beni on3March, and
health workerscelebrated by dancing
and singing. Therehavebeen no new
cases of the disease since17February.
Thecountrycanbedeclared Ebola
free if it has 42 days without any new
cases. Sincethe outbreakstarted, 2,
people have died from Ebola.
