The conjunction can go between the two clauses.

The conjunction can also be placed at the beginning of the
sentence. In this case the subordinate clause comes first and
a comma separates the two clauses.

Because (she had run out of milk), (she went to the
supermarket).
If you begin a sentence with a subordinating
conjunction, youmustfollow this withtwoclauses
and put a comma between them.
