Gigaton
Pearl Jam
The 11th full-length album from the long-
running rockers is arguably their most
collaborative studio effort to date. It’s a clear
demonstration of their chemistry built up
over three decades – as well as a level of
experimentation not seen from the band
since the ‘90s.
FIVE FACTS:
- Gigaton is Pearl Jam’s first studio album
since Lightning Bolt in 2013. - It was self-recorded and produced by long-
time band associate Josh Evans. - The album has received widespread
positive reviews; Rolling Stone’s Kory Grow,
for example, described it as “an admirable,
inspiring example of grown-up grunge.” - The band was formed in 1990 in
Seattle, Washington. - Its current members are bass guitarist
Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard,
lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead vocalist
and guitarist Eddie Vedder, and drummer
Matt Cameron.
