APPLE HAS INTRODUCED AN ALL-NEW
MACBOOK AIR, OFFERING FASTER
PERFORMANCE, A NEW SCISSOR-SWITCH
MAGIC KEYBOARD, TWICE THE STORAGE
THAN THE PREVIOUS GENERATION, AND
A NEW LOWER $999 PRICE TAG.

The company had planned to launch a range
of new products at a special March event from
its Apple Campus, but the ongoing coronavirus
outbreak forced the Cupertino firm to change
its strategy. Rather than holding off until its
virtual Worldwide Developers Conference,
Apple made the decision to launch the new
MacBook Air on its site.


The new MacBook Air offers up to twice the
CPU performance than the previous generation
thanks to the latest 10th-generation Intel Core
processors up to 1.2GHz quad-core Core i7 with
Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.8GHz, and up to
80% faster graphics performance, perfect for
students, professionals, and gamers playing
Apple Arcade titles on their Macs.


The base model now comes with 256GB of
storage, a 13-inch Retina display for vivid images
and sharp text, and Touch ID integrated into an
all-new keyboard, offering easy login and more
secure online purchases.


Speaking of the new device, Tom Boger,
Apple’s senior director of Mac and iPad Product
Marketing, said: “From students and consumers
buying their first computer to customers looking
to upgrade, everyone loves the Mac, and they
especially love MacBook Air.
