Cath Kidston longed to find a home
that she wanted to live in forever.
Scouring estate agents’ windows she
espied an old manor house that was
“tucked away and almost invisible” on
the edge of a Cotswold Valley. This
beautiful book is a tantalizing tour of
their transformation of ‘Paradise’ (the
apt name of the manor) from house to
home. Old furniture is mixed with bold
new cushions; shelves are filled with
ceramics and her vast collection of
vases and jugs, acquired from charity
shops and car boot sales. On the walls
are old family pictures and large
mirrors to bring more light into the
rooms and her favourite geraniums.
Covetably lovely. (Pavilion Books)
