The Simple Things - 04.2020

(Grace) #1
“I’ve recently changed my
bathroom to make it look
rustic and calm, because
my children do not make me
feel calm! I like the feel
of natural materials rather
than shiny gloss.”
Kyla Magrath, Bristol, @kylamagrathinteriors

“I used to bathe
my son in this basin
as a newborn and I’m
always reminded of how tiny he was.
I always feel relaxed when I’m in my
bathroom as, unlike lots of areas
in the house, I’m not thinking of all
the things that I’d like to change.”
Gemma Firman, Exeter

“My bathroom is calm
and happy, thanks
to a neutral,
timeless scheme.
The panelling leading into the room
adds to the period feel. Creating
a false wall at half height meant that
I could sit a mirror on top, along with
prints and other favourite finds.”
