andUNSecurityCouncilmeetingsinordertoattacktheenemywithall
possiblestrength.
WhyisitthatAmericanpublicopinionissometimessoquick,and
sometimessoslow,tosupportarmedinterventionabroad?Whatarethe
provocationsthatcanenergizepublicopinion(atleastsomeofit)for
war?How,ifatall,isthiswarlobbyrelatedtotheotherelementsof
Americanpublicopiniononissuesofforeignpolicy?Thekeytothat
warlikedisposition,andtootherimportantfeaturesofAmericanforeign
policy,isfoundinthefourthandlastofthegreatschools,the"Jackson-
ian school,"so namedhere in honoroftheseventhpresidentofthe
UnitedStates.
