Thebiggest
gaming event of
every year is E3, or
at least it has been for
decades. However,
this year there have
been some pretty big
changes, which has
made many people
think that E3 could be
dead. But is this really
the case?
A few years ago, all
the biggest game
developers as well
as the three console
makers would be at
E3. They would have
these massive booths,
even bigger than your
house, filled with all
their upcoming games
for the next year and
beyond. On top of
that, there were big
press conferences in
huge theatres around
the city of Los Angeles,
where journalists
would get told all
the most important
announcements and
news.
This was where we
would find out about
brand new video
game consoles or
sequels to the biggest
games in the world. E3
is so cool!
However, a number
of big companies
have now pulled
out of E3. Nintendo
doesn’t do a press
conference anymore,
instead just doing
an online Nintendo
Direct stream about
some of its key games.
ElectronicArtsis also

th
games event for
journalists that happen
to be in the area. Now
the big one! Sony
has just pulled out of
E3, too, and won’t be
doing its usually big
press conference.
It certainly sounds
like E3 is getting less
important, especially
given other big
events – like PAX
and Gamescom - are
getting bigger. It’s sad
to think of these three
big companies not
appearing at E3.
However, E3 isn’t

Other massive
developers like
Ubisoft, Activision,
Bethesda, Xbox, 2K
Games, Sega, Warner
Bros, Square Enix
and more are still
there. Plus, we’re sure
Nintendo, Sony and
EA will still have big
things to announce
during the E3 week,
even if they don’t
happen at the event
itself.
So stay tuned to
KRASH in July as we’ll
have plenty of news to
give you direct from
E3 2019.
