(やまだぃちぅ) #1
Figure 4-51.

  1. Apply the thick lines pattern. Press Alt- (Option- ) to move
one layer down (back to the Solid Black layer). Again Alt-click
(Option-click) the at the bottom of the Layers panel, and
choose Pattern again. Name this layer “Thick Lines,” and click
OK. Then select the Thick Lines pattern. Scale the pattern by
50 percent and click the OK button.

  2. Adjust the Layer style for the Thick Lines layer. In the Layers
panel, double-click to the right of the Thick Lines layer name
to bring up the Layer Style dialog box, and adjust as follows:

    • As before, change the Blend Mode setting to Multiply.

    • In the Underlying Layer slider, Alt-drag (Option-drag)
the left half of the white triangle to 190 and set the right
      half to 220.

    • Then click OK.
Photoshop merges the opposite line patterns to create a cross-
hatch effect, as illustrated in Figure 4-52 on the facing page.

    • Then press the Alt (Option) key and drag the right half of
the white triangle to 240 , as in Figure 4-51.
The lines gradually dissolve into transparency across the very
lightest colors in the image. Click OK to accept your changes.
