Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1

  1. Switch to the Curve panel. Click the Curve tab, which sits
behind the Color tab that houses Vibrance and Saturation. Al-
though the graph looks familiar to those of you who followed
Lesson 6—with its input and output values and the ability to
set points along a curve—it doesn’t work quite the same way.
This is another moment where trial and error will serve you
well when you’re working on your own images. The next step
    shows you my settings.

  2. Load an HDR preset. HDR Pro comes with a collection of
preset effects that you can apply from the Preset pop-up menu.
You can also save and load your own combinations of custom
settings. Let’s exploit that feature for the curve adjustment. At
the top of the window, click the icon to the right of the Preset
pop-up menu to bring up your Preset Options, and choose
Load Preset, as in Figure 9-39.
In the Open window that appears, navigate to the Dark
interiors.hdt setting in the Lesson 09 folder. Click it,
and then click Open. The curve adjustment that I cre-
ated (after some experimentation) to further compress some of
those very bright areas appears in the Merge to HDR window.
You can see the results in Figure 9-39.
