Adobe Photoshop CS5 One-on-One

(やまだぃちぅ) #1
Figure 1-15.

  1. Upgrade the image’s star rating. The focus checks out pretty
well, although it’s not perfect. So upgrade the image from its
current three-star status to four by clicking the dot where the
fourth star should be under the thumbnail in the filmstrip.

  2. Filter and rate the unrated images. The Bridge lets you cut
through the clutter by limiting, or filtering, the thumbnails
that appear in the content browser. To see just those images
that you haven’t rated, double-click the vertical divider on the
left to reopen those panels, and then click the Filter panel tab
if you need to bring it to the front. (If it’s not available, choose
Window→Filter Panel.) Then twirl open Ratings in the Filter
panel list, and click No Rating. All star-rated images temporar-
ily disappear, allowing you to focus your attention on images
you may have overlooked. Click No Rating again to turn off the
filter. Try other filter settings to limit which thumbnails you see.
The Filter panel is great for sifting through a big day of shooting.

  3. Restore the saved workspace. It’s time to do some final organiz-
ing in the Big Thumbs workspace you saved in Step 7 on page 12.
Up in the application bar, drag Filmstrip to the left to make
it the first workspace. Changing the order of the workspaces
changes their priority and their shortcuts. This means you can
click Big Thumbs w/ Panels as in Figure 1-16 or press Ctrl+F2
(-F2) to return to your practical, homegrown workspace.
