CROATIA 481
Flora
The park flora ranges from waterlilies on the lakes
to forests of gigantic trees. The rich undergrowth
is also a source of food for the park’s wildlife.
Waterfalls
Signposted routes
direct visitors to walk
behind the waterfalls
to watch the rushing
water as it cascades
from above.
View of the Korana River
The lakes drain into the Korana river, one
of Croatia’s cleanest waterways. The long-
winding river flows between steep cliffs amidst
spectacular scenery, and is a popular place for
kayak and raft trips.
Special routes are taken
by the park’s electric
buses to take visitors
