GETTING AROUND
Motorways span northern Hainaut,
connecting Tournai, Charleroi and
Mons to Brussels and Namur. Trains
operated by the national rail com-
pany SNCB reach all major towns.
Wallonia’s public bus service TEC
(Transport en Commun) spreads the
net further with its two operators,
TEC Hainaut (around Mons) and
TEC Charleroi. Cyclists use the
RAVeL 1 Centre route from Mons
to Charleroi and then to Namur.
Walkers use the Grande Randonnée
(GR) paths 121, 129 and 412–O.
