A former inn where
the Duke of Wellington
spent the night before
the battle, the museum
has narrow rooms
packed with weapons
and uniforms. There
are many other curios,
including plans and
models of the battle.
. Butte du Lion
The bronze figure of a
lion sits on top of a large
artificial mound, raised in
1826 as a battle memo-
rial. A climb up 226 steps
rewards visitors with views
over the battlefield.
