FSBO Prospecting Plan

“Hi, this is [Your Name] with [Your Company] Realty. I
introduced myself to you the other day and gave you
my information.. .remember me?”

This will burn your name into their brain, and they’ll
remember you until it’s time to list.
If the seller is not home, leave the FSBO Package at their
door, and make a note of it. This way, when you call them
you’ll have something to mention:

“Hi, this is [Your Name] with [Your Company] Realty. I
saw that your home is for sale by owner. Did you get
the information that I left for you?”

When you call FSBOs who already have your informa-
tion, there’s a great likelihood that they’ll listen to what
you have to say.

For Rent by Owners

Although these properties are not for sale, For Rent
signs can be a good source of leads. When a seller or land-
lord is trying to rent out an apartment, this usually means
that they aren’t getting a rental income, at least not for the
unit that is for rent. This may be a seller who is desperate
to sell or who may be sick of being a landlord. Take down
the information from For Rent signs as you come across
them. You’ll be surprised how many of these will end up as
viable leads.
