I tend to treat From Software’s
games as ongoing projects; things to
be picked at over the course of a
couple of years. If during that time
the community fills its wikis with
guides, hints and secrets, all the
better for me. Kudos, then, to Tom,
who had to finish Sekiro before
release in order to write our
in-depth review. May he recover
from the memories of that ape.
Sekiro’s release has prompted a
series of hot takes, most recently
about cheating. Rather than add to
the discourse, I’ll just say this: you
do you. If you want to test yourself
against Sekiro’s challenge, great. If
you want to cheat to make a boss
fight easier, that’s fine too.
From Software made it, but you
get to play it however you want.
