exactly the intention that Franz Wallack pursued with the construction of the
Grossglockner High Alpine Road: Behind every corner, a new, overwhelming view. With
every climb, your feeling of happiness increases. Every meter of the road is gently
nestled into the mountain. And all around almost near enough to touch are flourishing
alpine meadows, thunderous waterfalls and dizzying three thousand meter peaks. All
the way up to the highest of them all at 3,798 meters: the Grossglockner, the King of
the Austrian mountains.
