The unexpected death of famed
photographer Christina Eames (Chanté
Adams) leaves her estranged daughter Mae
(Issa Rae) hurt, angry and full of questions.
Her subsequent discovery of a hidden family
photograph sends her on a quest for answers
as she delves into her mother’s early life, but
also finds herself in an unexpected romance
with a rising journalist.
