SLEEVE BORDERS (MAKE 2)
With 4mm needles, cast on 24 sts.
Row 1 (RS): K1, (k1, p1, TW2, p1, k1, p2)
twice, k1, p1, TW2, p1, k2.
Row 2: P7, k2, p6, k2, p7.
Rep these 2 rows until Sleeve Border meas
43[48:51:54:58]cm (17[19:20:21¼:23]in), not
stretched, ending after row 1.
Cast of.
TO FINISH
Join shoulders. Stitch inner edge of Sleeve
Borders to back of neck, joining cast-of
edges to form centre back seam. Stitch
together the gap between the two upper
cables at neck division, neatly drawing
each side together.
Optional: With 3.25mm crochet hook,
RS facing and starting at centre back,
work a row of double crochet all round
neck edge, working 1 double crochet in
every alt row end to prevent neck edge
stretching.
With RS facing, placing centre row end of
Sleeve Border to end of shoulder seam,
stitch Sleeve Borders in place.
Now join side and Sleeve Border seams.
Lightly stitch down upper outside corner
of two sets of 3 cast-of facing sts to WS
of front.
