Washed, combed and carded wool for
stuing your sheep

TENSION
18 sts and 24 rows to 10cm over st st.
Tension is not critical for this project.

HEAD AND BODY
Cast on 20 sts.
Working in g st, knit 20 rows.
K2tog at the beg and end of the next
2 rows (16 sts).
Next row: Knit.
Cast on 6 sts at the beg of the next 2 rows
(28 sts).
Next row: K8, cast of 12 sts, k8 (16 sts).
Knit 1 row, pulling all the sts tog on the
needle.
Work 3 rows in st st, beg with a p row.
Next row: K1, k2tog; rep from to end
(11 st s).
Next row: Purl.
Next row: *K2, k2tog, k3, k2tog, k2 (9 sts).
Next row: Purl.
Cut the yarn leaving a 15cm (6in) tail,
draw yarn through the rem sts, pull tight
and secure.
EARS (MAKE 2)
Cast on 6 sts.
Work 3 rows in st st, beg with a p row.
Row 4: K2tog, k to the last 2 sts, k2tog
(4 st s).
Row 5: Purl.
Row 6: K2tog twice (2 sts).
Row 5: Purl.
Row 7: K 2tog.
Cut the yarn leaving a 15cm (6in) tail,
draw yarn through the rem st, pull tight
and secure.
LEGS (MAKE 4)
Cast on 6 sts.
Work 8 rows in st st, beg with a k row.
Cut the yarn leaving a 15cm (6in) tail,
draw yarn through the rem st, pull tight
and secure.
TO FINISH
Using the remaining yarn, sew both seams
tog from the nose to the top of the Head
and stuf the Head with wool fleece.
Continue stitching to join tog both seams
from the Head across the top of the back
and around the tail area.
Pull up neatly and secure. Leave an
opening at the chest.
Sew the ears to the Head.
Stuf the Body with wool fleece before
closing the opening at the chest with
a few stitches.
Join both Leg seams and stuf with wool
fleece. Sew each Leg to the Body, taking
any loose ends through to the tail.
All loose ends can then be tied into a
chunky knot and trimmed to approx
1.25cm (½in) long.
Embroider the eyes using black thread
and tie a bow around the neck with
ribbon.
