models are coming next year. Speaking of
the car, CarPlay has been given some attention
in iOS 14, with customizable wallpapers, new
app categories, and an improved version of Siri,
sending ETAs to friends.
AirPods and AirPods Pro can now automatically
switch between iPads, iPhones, and Macs, and
they’ll now offer a notification when the battery
is running low. iOS 14 also adds Optimized
Battery Charging which will help to extend
the battery life of the earphones.
App Clips are also coming to iOS 14, allowing
users to access parts of an app for a specific task,
like paying for parking or renting a bike. App
Clips can be installed using a QR code, and they
work with Apple Pay to reduce the need for new
account sign-ups.
